The Wire

As much as I was looking forward to the season finale of the Wire, it was a bitter sweet moment as I knew there would be no more. The Wire is/was hands down the best show on television. I loved the show so much that I spent countless hours writing philosophy papers on Hamsterdam while in college (I got an A). How could this be the end? Can McNulty really exist no longer being a police? Is Michael the new stick up king of the streets now that Omar is dead? Can Marlo really thrive in a world of suits when he knows his heart belongs to the streets? I have so many questions…This can’t be the end.

In need of a new show to take it’s place, I downloaded the first season of Breaking Bad from Amazon and am 3 episodes deep. While it is nowhere near as good as the Wire, it is definitely worth watching.
