Upping the Ante

The Price is Right was my favorite game show growing up. In hind sight, the contestants were typically playing for chump change. I imagine that most people loved idea that they could get on the show and potentially outfit their entire house with new furniture, cars, and random knickknacks. If you were a real tour de force, you hit the dollar on the first spin, doubled up on the bonus spins, and then took down both showcase showdown prize packages. Then all you had to do is figure out where you were going to store the jacuzzi, snow mobiles and camper you just won, when you live in a 1 bdrm apt in Bakersfield, Ca. Now you can walk away with $1M. Amazing. I’m just waiting for Supermarket Sweep to up the ante to $1M. I would be a real juggernaut on that show. The way I navigate the lanes in the supermarket is something special.
